It is optimal to begin the class series between 22 – 32 weeks of pregnancy, to give yourself plenty of time to practice and prepare.

Absolutely, but if you’re past 32 weeks, you may want to consider our self-paced homestudy option, so that you can complete it in a shorter time frame. 

Yes, your tuition includes you, and one non-pregnant birth companion. 

Yes, as long as your partner is not currently pregnant. Each pregnant person will require their own registration. 

Yes. Your registration includes one companion, but you can add up to two additional companions by choosing the Train My Own Labor Support add-on at checkout.  

Each pregnant person will require their own registration. You can still attend together as companions, but each of you will need to pay the full tuition. 

Missed sessions can be made up by watching the class recordings on your own time. 

No, we do not record the in-person classes in UT. However, those who enroll in the in-person option will have the ability to review the pre-recorded modules if they wish. 

We are not currently allowing virtual attendance of the in-person classes. However, each unit is pre-recorded and available for review. 

Absolutely, in fact, that is our specialty. About 80% of our parents give birth in a hospital, and we have helped thousands of them have amazing, empowered, superhero births. Doctors, midwives, and nurses love our program because our parents are thoroughly educated and prepared, which makes their job easier! 

Yes! The techniques and skills you gain from class will help you have the best possible chance for a safe, healthy birth at home. Labor unfolds more quickly and more safely when you are educated, empowered, relaxed, and calm. 

Every birth is a natural birth. There is no such thing as an un-natural birth! Every birthing person is part of nature, and so the birth of every person into the world is part of nature, too. Whether vaginal or cesarean, medicated or unmedicated, waterbirth or dry land, home or hospital, every birthing parent deserves to feel completely supported, prepared, and confident on their journey through birth. 

This class will give you the best possible chance at being able to birth without medication. You will learn everything you need to know to navigate that journey successfully, joyfully, and comfortably. 

You can, and we love working with our cesarean families. Be aware that we do focus primarily on the anatomy and physiology of vaginal labor and birth, but the relaxation, breathing, meditation, and hypnosis skills are universal to every type of birth. 

100%. As a matter of fact, we tend to find that our VBAC moms have some of the best results we see with this method. VBAC moms tend to be highly motivated to practice and prepare, and strong motivation is the number one predictor of strong success. 

You definitely can! If you like, you can invite any non-pregnant friend or family member to attend with you, but it’s not necessary. You will still be able to learn and participate fully. The class teaches a lot of partner skills, so you’ll want to take notes and share those skills with whoever will be attending you in labor. 

It’s never too late to learn. You can work through the six modules at an accelerated pace, so that you’ll be done before your due date. You will absolutely benefit from the knowledge and techniques that you’ll gain. You’ll learn breathing, relaxation, and mental focus skills. Your partner will learn labor support techniques such as massage, counter pressure, affirmations, breathing and anchoring. We teach the same information in our childbirth education classes as we teach in our professional doula trainings! Your birth will be better than it would have been without the class, BUT be aware that hypnosis is a learned skill which takes time and effort to master. You can make a lot of progress in a week or two, but the full benefits of hypnosis require more time than that.
